Greg Mitchell joined the Rescue Squad in 1998 and is an active firefighter, EMT, and heavy rescue squad driver. Outside of the squad, Greg runs a satellite engineering consulting company focusing on RF compliance, radio geolocation, satellite payload design and system engineering. He previously served as the Director of the Space Systems Department, Reconnaissance Systems Division at a federally funded research and development center where he managed R&D and other engineering support for the US Department of Defense. In addition to his industry experience, he taught for many years in the George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Greg lives in Potomac MD with his wife and two children and enjoys rock climbing and kayaking.
